About Winans Retriever Kennels

Head trainer and owner, Blaine Winans, grew up surrounded by the outdoors, hunting, and gundogs. At 14, he began training his first Labrador. Within a few years, he was training part-time for friends. He’s worked with some of the finest trainers in the United States and the UK. In September of 2019, Blaine decided to take his vast retriever knowledge and expertise to establish Winans Retriever Kennels in Dodge City, KS.

Winans Retriever Kennels was founded on a love of working Labradors. Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality breeding and training of British Labradors. What separates us from other gundog kennels is our willingness to spend countless hours accessing genetic quality, and making sure your dog is trained with the same patience, care, and enthusiasm as our own dogs.
